MEDIA

Bringing the work to the audience

Energize Us streamed the Solar Games championship in San Diego on February 20, 2026. Intersolar & Energy Storage North America credits the livestream in its official post-event release.

Founder Wilson Matthew Betances also brings contractor and education experience to industry conversations. Guest appearances include BuildOps’ Commercial Grade, NCCER’s The Builders’ Table, Jobber’s Masters of Home Service, and The Skilled Project’s Skilled AF, covering trades culture, workforce development, leadership, pricing, and business operations.

In March 2026, Wilson joined Simon Acres Group’s workforce panel at InstallerSHOW New York. The host’s recap documents a conversation about attracting and developing the next generation of tradespeople, including the role experienced builders play in training new workers.

Our own Work & Talk podcast continues those conversations with electricians, apprentices, contractors, and educators.

EDUCATION

Learning alongside the people doing the work

On May 6, 2025, HeatSpring announced its partnership with Energize Us to provide classroom instruction for employer-sponsored, four-year electrical apprenticeships.

At the August 2026 Builders Convention in Burbank, Energize Us brought electricians and apprentices together with BURNDY for a grounding-and-bonding discussion. Hubbell publicly acknowledged the opportunity to learn together. Skills Jam also confirmed its participation in the convention’s skilled-trades careers panel.

RE+ Events’ post-show reports document Business Labs led by Energize Us and Wilson Betances in Boston, Atlanta, Houston, and Philadelphia. The portfolio includes completed 2025 regional events and RE+ Northeast in February 2026.

Instruction, supervised field experience, and licensing requirements are discussed for each employer’s location and pathway.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Working inside the business

BULD connects contractor business development with the people responsible for making it work. Our focus includes estimating, customer follow-up, communication, leadership, and daily operations.

Public visit recaps show time with the JL Electrical, Campbell Bay Electric, and Heritage Electric teams. The Campbell Bay visit included conversations and training around foreman responsibilities, communication, accountability, and planning.

The learning also extends beyond a single business. Leviton acknowledged Energize Us’ participation in its April 2026 Next Gen Contractor event in Nashville. NinjaVA’s Builders Convention recap documents a shared stage conversation about delegation. HeatSpring hosts our Blueprint to Leadership course, with an introduction from its co-founder, Brian Hayden.
