Wilson Matthew Betances is a seasoned electrical contractor with over 17 years of experience and the founder of Energize Us Edu Inc. Starting from the ground up, he built a seven-figure contracting business, committed to building systems, empowering teams, and setting a high standard of quality in the trades. His mission is to equip tradespeople with the skills, knowledge, and leadership qualities they need to thrive and inspire future leaders in the industry.
Josh Storrusten
Dr. Josh Storrusten began his career as a field installer for residential solar systems in Southern California, where he developed hands-on expertise that fueled his journey into executive leadership. Known for his commitment to people-centered growth, Josh has built departments and scaled companies across the renewable energy industry. His leadership has been instrumental in leading, managing, and consulting for multiple Operational outfits, including leading national expansion efforts, and being a champion for high-impact company culture. With an academic background that includes a degree in international business, an MBA, a doctorate in Education, an OSHA500, and multiple certifications in occupational safety and solar technologies, Josh also serves as a personal mentor for leaders nationwide. As one of the original members of EnergizeUs.Edu, Josh looks to bring a fresh new approach and perspective to people-development in the trades industries.

Timothy Mendonca is a seasoned professional with 15 years of experience in Operations and Leadership. He has a proven track record of success in solar operations, and is deeply committed to fostering career development. Mr. Mendonca brings a wealth of expertise and a passion for excellence to the board.
Sergio Cortez
Sergio Cortez is the CEO and founder of Surge Electrical Training LLC. He is an NCCER Master Trainer with a Master Electrician license since 1999. With over 30 years of experience as a superintendent, general supervisor, and owner working in commercial, residential, and industrial work sites. His training began during his 5 years serving with the US Coast Guard as an Electrician’s Mate 3rd Class. He is a former College of Southern Nevada Code Instructor who served on the Advisory Board of Curriculum for The Skilled Trades Department. Sergio was awarded Klein Electrician of the Year 2013 Western Region Winner and Associated Builders and Contractors 2014 Instructor of the Year Award , Nevada Chapter. He is an NCCER Certified Instructor with over 17 years of teaching experience. He is also an OSHA Outreach Trainer and was Site Inspector/Subject Matter Expert for the CA Department of Industrial Relations and the Department of Labor.

After two years as a journeyman electrician he decided to take the next step toward success and start All Thingz Electric, an electrical contracting company based in Orange County, CA. His passion for the skilled trades and self development led him to form a community that would become GROWTH. He recognized that the skilled trades can offer limitless opportunities when coupled with mentorship, education and leadership skills. This journey is something he believes should be highlighted and shared with everyone to prove greatness and success is attainable to all who seek to grab it!
